Silence is the goal. At a strong band the coach says nothing about that skill unless you ask. Where it cannot see you yet, it guides the most.

Only at a boundary

  • after a result renders, or you accept or reject one
  • after a test run finishes
  • before a publish goes out
  • at session close — the one time it summarises
  • whenever you ask — always allowed
  • never mid-prompt, never twice within 90 seconds
One skill at a time — always the weakest one currently triggering. A coach that comments on everything is noise.
